In this paper, we propose a purchasing support system for offline stores, which aims to enhance the acceptance of supplementary information by interactively providing supplementary information about products according to their estimated interest. The proposed system estimates user interest using a depth sensor and an eye tracker and controls the timing and amount of information presented on the display accordingly. We evaluated the effectiveness of the proposed system regarding the acceptance of the presented information and accordingly purchasing behavior and attitude of users via a snack purchasing experiment. The obtained experimental results suggest that the proposed system successfully induced users' attention and interest in the supplementary information, leading to an increase in their acceptance of the information. Furthermore, some users who accepted the supplementary information and considered it changed their purchasing behavior.
