An aggregated interference calculation method that takes into consideration the antenna rotation of the primary radio station for dynamic spectrum access
Abstract
Dynamic spectrum access with existing wireless systems is attracting attention worldwide as a way to overcome the depletion of frequency resources for mobile communication systems. In Japan, efforts are getting underway to promote dynamic spectrum access based on the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ “Frequency Reorganization Action Plan”. In this paper, we propose an aggregated interference calculation method that takes into consideration the antenna rotation of the primary radio station. We demonstrate through computer simulations that the proposed method is effective in increasing opportunities to use secondary radio stations.
